This beautiful short film by UNICEF highlights our historic Worship for WASH Ladakh Summit that took place from the 29-30th August in Leh-Ladakh, with the technical support of UNICEF. The two-day summit was conceived and led by GIWA’s Co-Founder HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati​ji, was inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Narendra Singh Tomar​, Union Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Hon’ble Dr. Harsh Vardhan​, Union Minister of Science and Technology with the blessings and active participation of GIWA’s interfaith leaders, heads of India’s major religions. They led a mass Sarva Dharma Swachhta Sankalp (Interfaith Cleanliness Pledge) as well as visited interfaith places of worship to inspire local faith leaders and communities to work together to create a Swachh Ladakh, Swachh Bharat. They concluded the ceremony on the banks of the beautiful Sindhu Darshan Ghat, over looking the gorgeous Sindhu River, in a landmark call for people of all faiths, all walks of life and all backgrounds to join together for the Clean India Mission.
