Check out this magical water experiment, illustrating the power of handwashing with soap, from our recent WaterSchool lesson in the GJHS School in Pashulok, Veerpur, Rishikesh, a proud Swarovski WaterSchool! Our volunteers, and the students from the school, experimented by dipping their soapy fingers into a mixture of dirt, pepper powder and water. The students were excited to see that the presence of soap displaced the dirt and pepper away from their fingers, and through this experiment they were given a powerful visual understanding, which illustrates how washing our hands with soap prevents 50 to 70% of water-infections and food-borne infections.
