India’s Home Minister, Hon’ble Sushil Kumar Shinde Comes to GIWA’s Secretariat

Honourable Shri Sushil Kumar Shinde, the Home Minister of India and Honourable Shri Harish Rawat, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand came to GIWA’s Secretariat of Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh, where they performed a GIWA water ceremony with prayers for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for all. Afterwards, they spoke here in front of an audience of some 1,000 delegates from over 50 nations.

Hon’ble Shri Shindeji said: “It is unparalleled in the history of humanity that [GIWA Co-Founder] Pujya Swamiji is doing this work… All over the world, he is giving the message to humanity that we should preserve water for not only today, but for the future also. For the future of mankind, as well as for the survival of the entire humanity and the entire globe. This is wonderful.”
