Honouring our Sanitation Hereos

A special wellness and dignity camp was organised by the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance’s World Toilet College, in partnership with the Harijan Sevak Sangh, Parmarth School of Yoga and Divine Shakti Foundation to honour Safai Mitras, the frontline protectors of public health as part of our efforts to support the Swachh Bharat Mission.

The camp was led by the medical and wellness partners, including the Lakshman Jhula Medical Superintendent Office, Seema Dental College, Swami Shukdevanand Charitable Trust Hospital and Ayushakti Marma Chikitsa.

Safai Mitras from Muni-ki-Reti, Nagar Nigam, Swargashram and surrounding areas participated wholeheartedly. They received yoga, meditation and pranayama sessions, marma therapy and reflexology, Ayurvedic foot massages, and essential health, dental and gynaecological consultations. Personal hygiene awareness sessions were also conducted.

As a gesture of deep appreciation and respect, dignity kits and hygiene kits were distributed to all participating Safai Mitras, recognising their invaluable contribution to the health, cleanliness and well-being of the community.
