Hon’ble Education Minister, Smt. Smriti Iraniji and GIWA Co-Chair Meet

GIWA Co-Chair, Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, met recently with Smt Smriti Iraniji, Hon’ble Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Together, they discussed the pressing  need for all of India’s schools to be  equipped with WASH facilities,  which are key to improving our children’s health and to keeping little girls in school.

Some 24% of India’s girls will drop out of school by the time they reach puberty, largely because they don’t have access to the safety and dignity of enclosed toilet facilities at their schools.

The Hon’ble minister was deeply impressed by Pujya Swamiji’s divine vision and leadership and asked for Him to grace her ministry once every month to infuse them with new and green ideas towards the nation’s progressive future.
