GIWA Represented at World Bank Youth Summit 2023

GIWA’s efforts at the grassroots level has earned us the opportunity to be represented by our Senior Development Officer who is one of the 200 delegates selected out of a competitive application process that involved 6900 applications received by the World Bank this year for the World Bank Youth Summit 2023.

Miss Sohini is currently attending the Summit to contribute to the important conversation on the topic, “From the Ground up: Local Solutions for Global Impact” where young change-makers and visionaries have gathered for the world’s biggest youth event to influence policy and practice in the field of global peace and development. She will be participating in the case challenge to engage with her peers on solutions to the problems on climate security, fragility and violence, sharing from her experiences and the examples demonstrated by GIWA.

Her participation at this event also showcases the importance that GIWA accords to young team members and their vision, contribution to the cause of combating climate change through community led solutions. GIWA believes that young people are at the forefront of envisioning solutions for the future.

With the blessings of HH Pujya Swamiji, Pujya Sadhviji, and with the best wishes and support of her dedicated colleagues, Miss Sohini takes GIWA to one more global platform to bring the world closer to GIWA ‘s efforts and vision.
