GIWA in Vrindavan

A beautiful programme took place today in Vrindavan at the launch of a special initiative to preserve and serve Vraj Bhoomi. At this special event, which brought together people from across the Vrindavan region and around the world, the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance (GIWA), Ganga Action Parivar, Braj Vrindavan Act Now, and Yamuna Action Parivar joined hands with pledges and plans for cleanup programmes, water protection programmes and educational programmes.

The Global Interfaith WASH Alliance’s Secretariat is located in the beautiful confines of Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh. Parmarth Niketan, which means “an abode dedicated to the welfare of all,” was founded in 1942 on the beautiful banks of the River Ganga, not far from where the sparkling river first exits the emerald green Himalayas.
