Ganga Awareness & Aarti Workshop

The Ganga Awareness and Aarti Workshop began on 15th December at Parmarth Niketan with a beautiful water blessing ceremony led by Parmarth Niketan’s President, Param Pujya Swamiji.

In collaboration with Namami Gange, Arth Ganga, GIWA, and Ganga Action Parivar, the workshop welcomed 45 participants from Uttarakhand, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh—devotees who perform Ganga Aarti in their hometowns. The event empowered them to deepen their connection to Maa Ganga’s ecosystem and use Aarti as a tool for environmental awareness.

Highlights of the Workshop were:

  • Insightful sessions by GIWA’s Ms. Ganga Nandini Ji, Mrs. Vandana Sharma Ji, and Shri Durgesh Ji from Namami Gange.
  • Group activities to enhance understanding of Ganga’s ecosystem, aarti rituals, and the role of spirituality in conservation.
  • Participants engaged in impactful activities, such as a clean-up drive, plays, and poetry recitations to raise awareness about keeping Ganga clean and plastic-free.
  • Daily routines of yoga, yagya, and divine Ganga Aarti, along with saatvik meals, offered a holistic experience of spirituality and service.

Let’s work together for a clean, green, and thriving Ganga!
