Celebrating Haryali Teej

Haryali Teej is a joyous festival celebrating the union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, blessing devotees with happiness, prosperity, and good fortune. On this auspicious day, women adorn themselves with green bangles and outfits, and apply henna on their hands. The color green holds immense significance and is considered sacred, symbolizing prosperity throughout the Shravan month.

Women worship the Banyan and Neem trees to seek blessings from Goddess Parvati. Understanding this festival’s importance, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma ji has announced the plantation of one crore saplings in Rajasthan under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.

This year, we at GIWA have planted over 100 trees during our annual Kanwad Mela Camp at Rajaji Tiger Reserve. We are thrilled to have contributed to environmental betterment and forest restoration by creating shade and food for animals and birds over the past two weeks.

We look forward to continuing this seva every year, setting an example for others. We hope you join us in this noble cause.

Wishing everyone a very happy Haryali Teej!
