The Global Interfaith WASH Alliance celebrated EarthDay with Ratu Pedanda Gede Made Gunung, Balinese High Priest, and his delegation from Bali, Indonesia. Also participating were people from Hong Kong, Thailand, America, Dubai, United Kingdom and many other countries as well as pilgrims from various states of India.
The celebrations started with symbolic and special water blessing ceremony, as a prayer and a commitment that children all around the world should have access to clean drinking water and improved sanitation and hygiene facilities. Thereafter, GIWA the spiritual leaders were urged to take a message of the importance of improved WASH to their countries and join GIWA’s vital efforts so that collectively give birth to a new consciousness, a green consciousness.
