During the Kumbh 2019 Prayagraaj, the GIWA team inspired thousands of pilgrims to care and protect Mother Ganga with the help of a puppet show.
Kumbh is the greatest gathering of human beings on Earth, particularly for the holy bath at the Sangam of three rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. Pilgrims come across all India to be a part of this special occasion. The puppet show is designed to reach everyone, with special focus on illiterate people, with a representation of Lord Shiva inspiring the protection of our sacred river by not practicing open defecation and polluting Ganga.
In this puppet show we also carry out mass vows with the audience, to become future leaders of sanitation revolution in their own villages and areas and encourage them to commit to building their own toilets and using it.
