The Global Interfaith WASH Alliance (GIWA) convened a two-day Multi-Faith Action Coordination Committee (MFACC) Workshop at Parmarth Niketan in the presence of Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji, representatives from UNICEF India, and more than a dozen diverse faith-based organizations.
Special prayers were offered for all those affected by floods across India and the world, along with a conscious reaffirmation to work together to prevent such tragedies through collective action and climate resilience.
This auspicious gathering began on the eve of Vishwakarma Jayanti—a day when we honor the sacred tools that help us build and serve society. For faith leaders, the greatest tool is dialogue, enabling us to unite communities, build bridges, and create change. It also coincided with the birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji (turning 75 this year), to whom the greatest gift we can offer is our united commitment to health, nutrition, sustainability, and building a future in which every child thrives.
This workshop strengthens MFACC as a national advisory platform, uniting faith leaders and partners to guide action for children’s health, nutrition, wellbeing, and a sustainable future.
