Interfaith Leaders Call on Faiths to Come Together in the Face of Covid-19

The #Covid19 virus has become a global challenge not seen since world wars twice engulfed the planet in conflict. It tests us all to rise above the limits and boundaries that we have created, not just in beliefs and between nations, but between each other and between us and God. It demands that we recognize that we are all interconnected, that we are all One.

This is why Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, President of Pararth Niketan and Founder/Chair of the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance, was glad to join nearly two-dozen interfaith leaders recently to emphasize, first and foremost, that true religion must be in harmony with science, and that statements and prescriptions made in the name of religion must ‘not create confusion on how this pandemic must be addressed or contradict established scientific advice.’

In addition, the leaders affirmed that “the spread of #COVIDー19 provides a testament to the oneness of the human family where the well-being of one is dependent on the well-being of all.”

Let our faith inspire us to work harder and more consciously to ensure that we stop the spread of the virus.
