Pujya Swamiji shared the stage with the Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri M. Hamid Ansari at a key meeting in Delhi this spring.
The meeting brought together some 1,500 delegates from around the world, who focused on a green vision for India through the cultivation of medicinal plants.
Said GIWA Co-Founder, Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji. “Together, let us remake the banks of the Ganga and our other water bodies, so that they are green with sweet-smelling, life-giving plants, which will keep our water and our ecosystems healthy, thus keeping us healthy.”
Later, Pujya Swamiji and the Hon’ble Shri M. Hamid Ansari met in private, where they discussed the activities of GIWA and its partnering agency, Project Hope, which is working with GIWA to help improve the lives of the survivors of last year’s tragic Himalayan floods.
Said Pujya Swamiji, “we must all be proud that India has a green Vice President, who cares deeply for the issues of our environment and humanity, and brings together people from across all boundaries in peaceful harmony.”
