Hon’ble Uma Shri Bharti, GIWA Co-Founder Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji and GIWA General Secretary, Sadhvi Bhagawati recently joined forces in the planting of trees. Trees are crucial for the water cycle, for their roots bring water from underground water sources to their leaves. From the leaves, some 97% of this water is emitted back into the air, bringing the rain that nurtures everything.
All in all, 40,000 gallons of water are breathed into the air every day by just one typical oak tree, according to the US Geological Service.
GIWA will be working with India’s leaders to ensure that trees are planted wherever possible, so that we may have plentiful water for the future.
