Glad to share highlights from our Swarovski WaterSchool Program in joint partnership with our Global Interfaith Wash Alliance (GIWA), in which our dedicated GIWA team was teaching a module at the local Government Public School in Laxman Jhula, Rishikesh, educating more than 40 children in 3rd-4th class on the importance of sanitation and conserving water.
At the end of the lesson, during a fun and playful interaction, our innovative Trash Monster pays a surprise visit, asking the children to show him their hands and finger nails, to see whether they have been washing their hands and implementing the WaterSchools teachings into their lives. The Trash Monster declares in his formidable voice that those who are dirty, cause disease and reck havoc are his friends and those who maintain health, hygiene and harmony are his foes. The children playfully push the Trash Monster away, saying, “We are clean” and “No disease can touch us!”
