The Global Summit for Women 2023 was held in Abu Dhabi on the 21st and 22nd of February. In anticipation of International Women’s Day celebrations and Women’s History Month, this gathering brought together over 200 delegates and speakers from across the world to celebrate women and their accomplishments, aspirations and dreams.
The delegates and speakers comprised woman diplomats, business leaders, parliamentarians and ministers from different countries, non-profit and development sector stakeholders, activists, scholars and authors.
We are very happy to share that GIWA’s Sohini Jana, was invited to represent the works of GIWA and DSF with the blessings of Pujya Swamiji and Pujya Sadhviji at this gathering. She shared the impact of GIWA and DSF as platforms for bringing women from marginalized and economically backward communities to engage in the essential conversation on women’s well-being, their role as guardians of community health and sanitation and their right to skill development and financial independence.
