Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, situated near Rishikesh, is famous for its Kanwad Mela festival held in the Shravan month (July) every year. Devotees from all parts of our country arrive in Rishikesh, some on foot, to take the dharshan of Neelkanth Mahadev. We, GIWA and Divine Shakti Foundation, with Parmarth Niketan, conduct a month-long Health Camp for the devotees who fell sick during their holy pilgrimage. Many fell ill due to the monsoon, sudden weather change, and excess heat. Some get injuries and blisters during their long walk. Our health Camp serves as a helping hand for all of them, especially the elderly and children.
Along with this health Camp, we also conduct activities that provoke awareness about water, Sanitation, Hygiene, Pollution, Awareness about the river Ganga, Environment and effects of Pollution. Our camp is located at Neelkanth Mahadev Temple Road, Rishikesh. We sincerely believe that our divine service reaches thousands of hearts just like devotees prayers reach Mahadev.
