Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar met with GIWA India Founder/Chair HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati in Dehradun this Sunday.
During their wonderful discussions, a shared vision towards a Swachh Bharat, where everyone embraces clean and healthy WASH was discussed. In so doing, they discussed serving together to improve Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) for all.
Pujya Swamiji lauded Sachin’s contributions to the nation and to the world. Pujya Swamiji appreciated the great work Sachin Tendulkar is committed to doing as a Swachh Bharat Ambassador and Goodwill Ambassador of UNICEF.
Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has previously shared, during ICC’s launch of the Cricket for Good and Team Swachh campaign, in partnership with UNICEF and ICC – International Cricket Council, in October 2015, how he believes ending open defecation-achieving sanitation for all in India will take a genuine team effort in which all relevant actors will have to play together as one team.
