Today, the GIWA team, alongside the dedicated Rishikumars of Parmarth Gurukul, organized a rally to raise awareness about the environmental issues plaguing our planet. Starting from Parmarth Niketan and culminating at our Kanwad Mela special awareness and medical camp, the rally was a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility to protect Mother Earth.
A standout moment was when one of our team members transformed into a ‘Kachada Raakshas’ (garbage demon), donning an outfit made entirely of plastic waste. This striking visual was a creative way to highlight the urgent need to reduce our plastic consumption and the detrimental effects of single-use plastics.
With powerful slogans and unwavering enthusiasm, the GIWA team and Rishikumars captured the public’s attention, spreading the message to avoid single-use plastic, conserve water, and protect the environment. Upon reaching the rally’s destination, our team, along with the local community, took immediate action by cleaning up the plastic waste left by devotees, leaving the area spotless and plastic-free.
We hope this small but significant initiative inspires others to join the movement for a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable India. Together, we can create a ‘Swachh Bharat’!
