Every year, over 2 million young pilgrims come through Rishikesh/Haridwar for the Kanwar Yatra, carrying water from their home villages on their backs as an offering for God. What a wonderful opportunity to inspire for sanitation! That’s exactly what GIWA’s WASH on Wheels Programme did. Using our renowned live shows, videos featuring the compelling word of top faith leaders and live interactions, participants were wowed.  With their hearts opened by GIWA’s faith-based messaging that all should have clean and healthy sanitation, many were moved to write out their own personal pledges for a Swachh Bharat.
