The Ganga Awareness and Aarti Workshop began on Sunday at Parmarth Niketan, inaugurated by GIWA’s Co-Founder Param Pujya Swamiji and Secretary-General Pujya Sadhviji. In collaboration with Namami Gange, Arth Ganga, GIWA, and Ganga Action Parivar, this program brought together 25 participants from Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh who perform Ganga Aarti in their hometowns. The workshop empowered them to deepen their connection to the Ganga’s ecosystem and use aarti as a tool for raising environmental awareness.
On Day 1, the participants were inspired by Pujya Swamiji and Sadhviji during an insightful orientation. They also received toolkits and details on the workshop sessions from trainer Mrs. Vandana Sharma and Ms. Ganga Nandini Ji. Shri Durgesh Ji from Namami Gange, shared his experiences of working with the Ganga and motivated participants to actively contribute to its preservation.
