Our new, colourful and gorgeous Simhastha Kumbha Mela Special News Magazine is now online.
With GIWA co-founder and Chairman, Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji’s inspiration, leadership and vision, the Ujjain KumbhaMela, from 22nd April to 21st May, 2016, became a “Mela with a Message.” It was fertile ground for the launch of a Swachhta Kranti (Clean India Revolution), inspiring thousands of people to keep Mother Earth and all sacred rivers pollution free and open defecation free. All were encouraged to plant trees, to conserve and preserve water.
Some of our innovative programmes during the month-long Simhasth Kumbh Mahaparv – 2016 included the Sarva Dharma Swachhta Sankalp, Rashtra Raksha Kumbha, Siksha Kranti Kumbha, Paryavaran Kumbha, Vanvasi Kumbha, Divyang Kumbha and Kshipra Maha Aarti, in which activities like Chunari Mahostav and regular mass Swachhta Sankalp were led with revered saints, eminent personalities and artists visiting every day during a truly transformative thirty day festival of life and humanity.
