The Global Interfaith WASH Alliance’s Secretariat is located in the beautiful confines of Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh. Parmarth Niketan, which means “an abode dedicated to the welfare of all,” was founded in 1942 on the beautiful banks of the River Ganga, not far from where the sparkling river first exits the emerald green Himalayas.

Parmarth Niketan blossomed over the more than 70 years of its existence into one of the largest interfaith institutions in India – a world renowned sanctuary for people of all walks of life, from every corner of the Earth.  With over 1,000 rooms, several large meeting halls, and glorious ghats lining the River Ganga, Parmarth Niketan is known for its perfect blend of modernity with traditional simplicity, providing daily doses of inspiration for all.
